The standard tuning of music to A4 = 440 Hz became widely adopted in the mid-20th century, with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) formalizing it in 1955 (ISO 16). Before this, tuning varied by region and instrument maker, with many orchestras using A4 anywhere between 435 Hz and 445 Hz.
Switching from 440 Hz to 432 Hz lowers the pitch of every note slightly, making the entire scale sound warmer and more relaxed to some listeners. This change affects the frequency of every note in the scale proportionally, preserving the musical relationships (intervals) between notes, but slightly altering the overall tonal character. For example, middle C drops from approximately 261.63 Hz in 440 Hz tuning to about 256 Hz in 432 Hz tuning.
In the video below we took a 440 Hz pure tone and shifted it to accordingly so that each of the Solfeggio Frequencies and 432 hz become the new key for the musical scale.
Conversion values
- 440 Hz (A4 = 440)
- 174 Hz (F3= 174 | A4 = 438.40)
- 285 Hz (C#4 = 285 | A4 = 452.51)
- 396 Hz (G4 = 396 | A4 = 444.49)
- 417 Hz (G#4 = 417 | A4 = 441.74)
- 432 Hz (A4 = 432)
- 528 Hz (C5 = 528 | A4 = 444.04)
- 639 Hz (D#5 = 639 | A4 = 451.74)
- 741 Hz (G5 = 741 | A4 = 415.87)
- 852 Hz (A5 = 852 | A4 = 426.00)
- 963 Hz (B5 = 963 | A4 = 428.94)
As you can see and hear, with each frequency pitch shift the tone changes making it sound and feel better (or worse).
When you use our apps to retune an entire song or piece of music the same logic is applied to the entire song, as its being played back.
No other alterations such as an equalizer, or compression happen to your music, so you can rest assured that your music is retuned with absolute lossless precision.
While some songs may sound better at 432 Hz, others may sound better in another frequency tuning. We believe that having the freedom and option to chose how you listen to your music is a fundamental right and privilege.
In order to secure this right and privilege we actually patented the frequency changing feature in order to ensure that no other corporation (large or small) is able to patent it and prevent you from having access to this magnificent capability!
