Why we built 432 Player Plus
432 Hz is sometimes called the "natural frequency" — a tuning that pre-dates the 1955 ISO standardization of 440 Hz as concert pitch. Long before that decision, orchestras tuned anywhere between 435 and 445 Hz, and a sizeable community of musicians, audiophiles and listeners argues that 432 Hz sits more comfortably with the ear and body than the higher modern reference.

432 Hz is an alternative tuning standard where A4 is set to 432 cycles per second instead of the modern 440 Hz reference. Every other note in the scale is shifted proportionally, so the music stays musically intact — the whole scale simply sits 8 Hz lower.
